Initial growth of four endemic species in degraded peatland revegetation in Ogan Komering Ilir, South Sumatra

Abstract Peatland plays an important role as the storage of carbon stocks both in soil layer and biomass. The value peatlands is strongly influenced by peatland’s quality potential to produce emissions if natural conditions are disturbed. Revegetation can improve land cover compared succession. success revegetation be seen from survival rate growth performance planted species. purpose this preliminary study was see four species plants burnt peatland area located Pedamaran, Ogan Komering Ilir, South Sumatra 2017 2021. This carried out using quantitative descriptive methods. Results show that endemic different, reflected diameter breast height (dbh), height, rate. Pulai showed highest (98.61%), with average dbh 8.31 mm 75.60 cm height.
